Yes, you can make this (see picture below) in fewer than three minutes. I know this because I make it almost every morning. (Yes, really.) So throw out those Ego Waffles or generic-brand corn flakes and try this instead.

You’re welcome!

Shopping List

  • Bob’s Muesli (or whatever Muesli you want)*
  • Chopped Dates (bulk section at grocery store)
  • Raw Sliced Almonds (bulk section at grocery store
  • Bananas (or whatever fruit you want)
  • Whole Milk**
  • Whole Fat Greek Yogurt*

*Trader Joe’s Muesli is pretty good too.
**You can go low-fat on these, but some argue full fat is better for you.

Instructions

  • Throw it all in a bowl.

You notice I didn’t say how much to put in? Well, put in how much you want. If you’re the type that craves direction, I usually use close to 1 cup of muesli, half a banana, 1/2 cup of chopped dates, and 1/2 cup of sliced of almonds, 2 tbsp of yogurt, and 1 cup of milk.

Food Hacks and More

If you want to switch things up, you can freeze the fruit the night before to give the Most Excellent Breakfast a tweak in flavor. I love the flavor of frozen, sliced bananas in my muesli, but other fruits as well, such as frozen blueberries or mixed berries.
